To fulfill the mission of internationalization in education and attain the actual effects, HIT International Office has launched a program named HIT and World-renowned Universities since this semester. This program aims to provide multiple, stable platforms for HIT students and assist the students to obtain intercultural experiences in the classroom at oversea universities.
This program is based on the existing cooperation between HIT and more than 100 universities in over 20 countries, such as the U.S., Russian, England, France, Germany, Japan, etc and the established agreements are those with Purdue University in the US, University of Manchester in England, Sydney University in Australia, and Tokyo University in Japan, etc.
This program will take different forms of student exchange, credits co-reorganization, and oversea graduate programs to meet different needs of students. Meantime, HIT will put more efforts in the development with leading universities abroad and promoting tuition waiver within exchange and internship which will create more opportunities and benefits for the students.
To help eliminate the language hurdles with students' study in some European countries such as France and Germany, HIT has opened several foreign language courses on French and employed native French lecturers. The Germany Course is to be opened soon.
Hitherto, the International Office has organized two lectures within this program, Walk close to the Politecnico Di Torino, given by Prof. Francesco Profumo, and Prof Sumei Zhang's Introduction of HIT's student exchange activities.
