Three of the biggest names in Western clothing Boot Town, Western Warehouse and Corral West have combined their excess inventory for a massive sale now under way at the former Toys "R" Us store near Ingram Park Mall in San Antonio. The sale offers savings of up to 50% and more on footwear and clothing for men, women and children.
The three companies, which merged last year, have taken over the 45,000-square-foot space at 6441 Northwest Loop 410 for a sale event that is expected to last four or five months, said Stevan Buxbaum, executive vice president of Agoura Hills, Calif.-based Buxbaum Group, which is conducting the special promotional sale.
"The combined companies have gone through the integration process and are now in the process of clearing out inventory so that they can move forward with a consistent mix of styles and products in their stores," Buxbaum explained.
"As a result, we have over 26,000 pairs of boots and millions of dollars worth of clothing for this special sale. There is a tremendous selection on a wide variety of footwear and clothing, all with some of the best discounts shoppers have ever seen on items for men, women, junior girls, young men and kids."
The sale marks a return to San Antonio of Boot Town, which previously operated a store there. If the sale proves a success, Buxbaum said, the sale store might be converted to a permanent outlet location for the combined retailers.
