CHINA - In order to improve the raw milk quality, the National Animal Husbandry Service held a training course on formulation of total mixed rations (TMRs) for dairy cattle in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province on 10-11 August 2010.
He Xintian, Secretary of the Party Committee of National Animal Husbandry Service, presided over the opening ceremony for this training course and Wang Zhicai, Director-General of the Department of Animal Husbandry of the Ministry of Agriculture, delivered a keynote address titled Current Status of Dairy Production and Raw Milk Quality Control in China.
Professor Li Shengli, Chief Expert of the national technical system for the dairy industry, gave technical lectures on formulas and formulation techniques for TMRs for dairy cattle. The trainees also consulted him about the problems they met in practice.
