Spain: Eurobanan ARC Group's expansion continues

After last summer expansion in Sevilla and Valencia, Eurobanan Group's national growth continues in Galicia, with the incorporation of the company Fruit Serafin. The Group has reached 340 million euros sales in 2010. Eurobanan ARC Group, leader in the distribution of fresh fruits and vegetables, this year again is in the ranking of the top 50 Spanish groups along with major companies.
On 18 January, Eurobanan signed a strategic partnership agreement with Fruit Serafin, following to which the company ARC Eurobanan Galicia SL was constituted, thus strengthening the Group's position in Galicia and in the market of North Portugal. Besides the facility located in Porrino, ARC Eurobanan Galicia SL will own two stalls in the wholesale market of Ravis and a warehouse in Povoa Do Varzim (Portugal) thanks to a preferential agreement, thus covering the entire fresh produce process from farm to final destination. D. Rafael Alvarez is the new Director General at Eurobanan Group for Galicia and Northern Portugal and the head of the Group's operations in Galicia and northern Portugal.
