China: Zhangpu Yicai vegetable season comes to an end

Zhangpu Yicai Fruit and Vegetable Co. Ltd of Zhangpu, China exports at least 20 containers of vegetable every week to South East Asia and Russia.

Vegetables being exported are cabbages, cauliflowers and carrots. There are two cabbage varieties being offered: round cabbage and sweet cabbage. Prices of cabbage remain the same as last week, round cabbage is being sold FOB Xiamen $250 per metric ton while sweet cabbage FOB Xiamen $ 265 per metric ton.

Cauliflowers are increasing due to the end of the season and the supply is less than usual in this period. From the price of FOB Xiamen $785 per metric ton last week now, it is FOB Xiamen $900 per metric ton.

Zhangpu started exporting vegetables last December and will end this May. Lychees are being prepared for export this June to be followed by Red Globe grapes in July.

The company also offer fruits for export such as pomelo, mandarin, navel orange, shatang orange, nanfeng baby orange, apple, red globe grape, lychee, pear, loquat and waxberry.

Guanxi pomelos and Yongchun Honey mandarins are the two most popular products in Europe and Southeast Asia.

Zhangpu Yicai was founded 20 years ago having their own processing factories which consist of different factories for pomelo, mandarin orange; nanfeng baby mandarin and navel orange.

Zhangpu received the "Agricutural Products Best- Seller" and "Direct Sales Point" award from the Chinese government recognizing the high quality products they offer.
