Fireworks Light up Orange Islet to Celebrate New Year's Day

The fireworks display in Orange Islet was rescheduled at 0 o'clock on January 1, 2011 to mark the New Year's Day.

This gala of fireworks, themed with "The Sun Rising in the East", consists of such three parts, namely, "Recalling Glorious Past", "Enjoying the Four Beautiful Seasons" and "Singing Ode to the Times". This activity presented the grand scene of people greeting the new year.

According to relevant personnel of the Liuyang Panda Fireworks Group Co. Ltd, which was responsible for the fireworks display, the prelude was highlighted with "The Sun Rising in the East". It ushered in the ambitious chapter for the year of 2011 and brought the jubilant atmosphere of the new year to the climax. The first chapter, characterized by the fireworks in the shapes of "Mother's Cradle" and "Prosperity Brought by the Dragon and the Phoenix", vividly portrayed the spirit of the great men in revolutionary times. The second chapter went on with the fireworks depicting the beautiful scenery of spring, summer, autumn and winter, which dazzled the spectators with a charming Orange Islet. The third chapter featuring fireworks in the shapes of "Gigantic Boats" and "Windsurfing on the Rolling Xiangjiang River" reflected people s good wishes to make more progress in the new year.
