NUC Chorus Awarded Gold Medal

For the celebration of the 60th anniversary of the founding of PRC and showing the folk culture as well as the great changes in Shanxi, 2009 Shanxi Folk songs, Dance, Folk music Competition, sponsored by Shanxi Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department and Shanxi Culture Office and hosted by Shanxi Public Art Center, was held on August 10-12 in Taiyuan.

From three days severe competitions, NUC Chorus, under the command of Associate Prof. Wang Yanping, won the first prize over 50 outstanding performances from 11 cities and awarded the gold medal. Zhang Ping, Vice-Governor of Shanxi Province, issued the honorary certificate for NUC chorus.
