On February 18, a delegation of 13 people of Partners of Shangri-La International Education Alliance visited our school. They are from Thailand, Singapore, Australia, Mongolia and other countries. Xiong Shuxin, President of YUFE held talks with visiting delegations.
President Xiong introduced YUFE from the perspectives of school history, academic development, faculty, research and international cooperation and exchanges. Delegates also discussed the school curriculum, accommodation, school fees, and other issues with representatives of our university.
After the meeting, the delegation visited the teaching building, laboratory, library, student dormitories, canteens, and other facilities. Li Dingxin and He Lan, Deputy Directors of International Exchange and Cooperation Office, Professor Yan Gang, Dean of the Foreign Language Department also participated the meeting .
"Shangri-La International Education Alliance is proposed and designed by Dr. Wang Rong, Party Secretary of YUFE. Yunnan University of Finance and Economics, East China University of Technology, Jilin University of Finance and Economics and Tianjin University of Business and University of Newcastle are members of Alliance, Professor Wang Rong is the first Chairman of the Committee. The five Universities will carry out the first program of the Alliance: "China-Australia Dual Master Program of International Business" this year. The purpose of this visit is to enhance the understanding of the Alliance and the Master Program of International Business.
