An EU Asia Link workshop 2006 entitled Standardisation in Companies and Markets was held

An EU Asia Link workshop 2006 entitled Standardisation in Companies and Markets was held between August 18 and August 21 at China Jiliang University.

Presided by the Universit t der Bundeswehr Hamburg of Germany, this project was jointly finished by the Erasmus University Rotterdam (The Netherlands), China Jiliang University(CN), the National Economics University of Hanoi(VN), the University of Moratuwa (LK), and the Institute of Technology Bandung (ID). Altogether 21 experts from all over the world took part in the workshop and warmly discussed the stratagies of the development of standardization.

The project lasted from January 1, 2004 to August 31, 2006 for 36 months. During the final workshop, a national standardization training program organized by the State Personnel Affairs Ministry and the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine of China (AQSIQ) was held at the University. At the opening session, about 80 trainees throughout the country attended lectures given by Mr. Klaus Ziegler - the standardization attach of the EU Delegation to China - and standardization directors of the Airbus Industry Germany and the Siemens Ltd., China.
