A Working Conference of Colleges and Universities Philosophy and Social Sciences Researches held in our university

From November 2 to November 3, the Ministry of Education held its first Working Conference of Colleges and Universities Philosophy and Social Sciences Researches in our Building of International Culture and over 300 presidents and research heads from more than more than 160 colleges and universities across the nation attended the conference. Li Wei-hong, Vice minister of the Ministry of Education, and Yuan Zhen-guo, Deputy Director of Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education attended and delivered a speech. Chen Hong, Deputy Director of Beijing Education Supervision Office attended the conference and made a speech on behalf of Zhu Shan-lu, Secretary of Beijing Education Working Committee. Yang Guang, Director of Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education, presided over the opening ceremony.
During the conference, participants discussed and exchanged opinions as to how to improve colleges and universities philosophy and social sciences research, improve their research management systems and mechanisms and construct a platform for the construction and development of philosophy and social sciences. As the largest conference on humanities held by the Ministry in recent years, it surely will contribute to the prosperity and growth of philosophy and social sciences. We feel honored to host such a conference, and this is not only a recognition of our humanities research capacity an enhancement of our influence among colleges and universities. Under our elaborate organization, this conference was successfully completed and very well received.
