The Opening Ceremony of 2009 National Training Plan Issued by the Ministry of Education Held in CNU

On the morning of November 28th, the opening ceremony of 2009 National Training Plan the Study Program on Trainers in Mathematics of the Middle (Primary) School issued by the Ministry of Education was held in the lecture room of our Library on the first floor. One hundred trainers , who were from 8 provinces including Hunan, Guangdong, Guangxi, Henan, Shandong, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Jiangxi, etc.

, took part in the ceremony. The academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences Lin Qun, the president of Northeast Normal University Shi Ningzhong, the vice president of our university Zhou Jianshe, the head of the School of Mathematics Science Li Qingzhong, the expert in mathematics education from the School of Mathematics Science Professor Wang Shangzhi and the dean of the School of Continuing Education Zhang Rusheng, attended the opening ceremony.

The ceremony was chaired by Fu hua, the vice dean of the School of Continuing Education.

The National Training Plan-the Study Program on the Trainers issued by the Ministry of Education aims to strengthen the building of the ranks of teachers with the emphasis on improving the quality of teachers in rural areas , which is released by the 17th National People's Congress. The program is to strengthen the training of the teachers and improve the quality and level of the teaching team. More than 20 universities and colleges of education across the country are selected to compete for the right to undertake the national training plan for trainers. With the joint effort of many relevant experts from the School of Continuing Education, the School of Mathematics Science and Primary Education College, we won the right to undertake two study programs on trainers for Math Training in both Senior High School and Elementary School. All participants should enroll and move in on November 27th, 2009. This program would last for 10 days and is expected to end on December 6th, 2009.
