NPU Wins Gold Prize for 7th Challenge Cup Contest of China Undergraduate Business-Establishment

From Sep. 25 to 29 the finals of the 7th Challenge Cup contest jointly sponsored by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League of China, China Science and Technology Association and the Ministry of Education were held in Jilin University. NPU Vice President Zheng Yong'an and Wang Jiabin, director of Physical Education Department, went to Changchun, Jilin province, to give their guidance and coach; Yu Haifu, secretary of the Youth League of NPU led his team to the contest.

165 works from 115 universities in the country reach the final. NPU's work "Junheng Science and Technology Co., Ltd " wins the gold prize, achieving the breakthrough of no gold prize for the contest won by the university before. "Network Book Exchange Platform " and " Xi'an Jiyue Tourism Co., Ltd " win the silver prize and bronze prize respectively, and NPU wins the excellent organization award. In the finals the number of both works and gold prizes of NPU and its total number of medals take the first place among other universities in Shaanxi province and rank the first few in the country.

In 2009 during the 11th Challenge Cup China Undergraduate Extracurricular Science and Technology Works Contest, NPU won one first prize, two second prizes and three third prizes.

In recent years with the massive students taking active part in various contests, NPU has obtained great achievements in its undergraduates' science and technology and business-establishment activities. Through participating in the provincial and national Challenge Cup contests holding science and technology festivals and science popularization knowledge contests, business-establishing heroes' visiting the campus and other activities, NPU has a large number of excellent talents who take part in technical innovation and business-establishment activities.
