Economic Forum Held for Students from Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan

From May 10 t0 16, the 2009 Forum on Hot Issues in Economics and Management for students from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan was held at Jinan University. More than 60 students from 17 universities, including Jinan University, Tsing Hua University, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhejiang University, Taipei University, Chung Yuan Christian University, Taiwan Chi Nan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Macao University.

On the evening of May 10, President Hu Jun and leaders from relevant departments and colleges attended the opening ceremony of the forum. President Hu gave a welcome speech.

Activities of the form include lectures, business plan design competition, discussions, classroom experience, enterprise visit and cultural visit.

Prof. Feng Bangyan, famous expert on Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan affairs from JNU, Prof. Zhang Jie, Dean of the College of Economics attended the forum and gave keynote speeches respectively on International Financial Crisis and China s Macro Economic Control Policy and The Root and Enlightenment of the International Financial Crisis.
