Mr. Xie Fuzhan Visited Federal Statistical Office of Germany and Statistics Austria

Mr. Xie Fuzhan, Commissioner of National Bureau of Statistics of China, lead an NBS delegation to the Federal Statistical Office of Germany (FSO) and the Statistic Austria from 5 to 13 June, 2007. The main objective of this visit was to study the national accounting system, regional GDP accounting, and the information of statistical services provided to the public through the internet of both countries.

(Delegation Paid a Visit to Statistics Austria)

The Delegation visited FSO, Statistical Office of Hessen, Statistical Office of Baden-W rttemberg, and Bavarian Land Office for Statistics and Data Processing; and also paid visits to the Federal Ministry of the Interior, Federal Ministry for Economics and Technology, and European Central Bank. During the visit, Mr. Walter Radermacher, President of FSO, Mr. Johann Hahlen, State Secretary, Federal Ministry of the Interior, and Mr. Schwazl, Director, Directorate Macro-economic Statistics of Statistics Austria met with the Delegation. Delegation received a warm and friendly welcome in Germany and Austria, and the visit proved a great success.
