The Value-added of Industry Rose 15.7 Percent in August

In August, the value-added of the industrial enterprises that above designated size (all state-owned enterprises and non-state enterprises with an annual sates income over 5 million yuan) achieved 735.6 billion yuan, an increase of 15.7 percent year-on- year. The sales ratio of industrial products was 98.74 percent, grew 0.67 percentage points over the same month a year ago. The export delivery value of industrial products reached 505.3 billion yuan, an increase of 23.9 percent.

In terms of main industries, the growth rate of textile industry, raw chemical materials industry and chemical products industry, non-mental mineral products industry, smelting and pressing of ferrous metals industry all expanded respectively rose 13.7, 18.3, 23.1, and 17.2 percent. And the growth of general equipment manufacturing industry, transportation equipment manufacturing industry, electrical machinery & equipment manufacturing industry, telecommunication, computer & other electric equipment manufacturing industry, electric power production and supply industry correspondingly increased 23.7, 17.4, 14.8, 19.8, and 14.5 percent.

In terms of main products, the crude oil was 15.54 million tons, and remained the general level, year-on-year, that of the coal and generate electricity capacity respectively reached 174 million tons and 257.1 billion kilowatt-hours, increased 10.3 and 16.4 percent over the same month a year ago; the production of pig iron, crude steel and rolled steel was 34.78, 36.7 and 38.97 million tons, correspondingly rose 20.8, 17.0 and 16.6 percent; the production of cement reached 110 million tons, rose 21.3 percent. The production of vehicles was 534,000, up by 13.3 percent, of which, 295,000 of automobiles increased 17.1 percent over the same month of the previous year.

From January to August, the accumulated value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size amounted to 5435.4 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 17.3 percent.
