2008 Formula One Chinese Grand Prix kicked off in Shanghai. Shanghai Customs District provided 24-hour services to make sure all the competition materials enter the circuit within 6 hours upon they arrived in China.
The 2008 Chinese Grand Prix was held from 17th to 19th October. Starting from 13th October, race cars, various kinds of components and tools for car fixing as well as TV relay equipment began to flood into Shanghai, exerting a lot more pressure on the clearance work. To ensure all the materials be released in time, officers of Shanghai Customs District adopted a 24-hour work scheme to handle the declarations and were ready to inspect and examine the goods at anytime needed. For the relay equipment which requires time for adjustment, Customs officers employed convenient clearance procedures to get these supportive materials in the circuit ahead of time.
