The world s top 20 dairy companies list made by this bank is based on all global dairy companies financial statistics and analysis of authoritative experts, and it is also the only authoritative dairy companies ranking list.

Rabobank Group: Mengniu will soon rank to the top ten

In July of last year, Rabobank Group released world s top 20 dairy companies 2009 on which Mengniu was listed No.19 relying on its 3.4 billion of US dollar revenue ( 2.4 billion). For the first time, Mengniu represented the whole Chinese dairy industry to step into the first class of the world s dairy club. However, this year, with 3.77 billion of US dollar s ( 2.69 billion) annual revenue, Mengniu exceeds Schreiber Foods, Land O' Lakes and Nordmilch to rank No.16 of the list which promotes 3 positions ahead. According to recent developmental momentum, Mengniu is very likely to jump into the top ten rapidly. Rabobank Group paid great attention to Mengniu s rapid development when releasing its annual dairy report.
Comparing to the performance of the same period of last year( 2009 and 2010), the reporter found that this year, Mengniu had US 2.61 billion of revenue gap between Uniliver, however, Mengniu increased by 7.7% compared to the same period of last year with the common phenomenon that a couple of global dairy giants ahead of Mengniu decreased by 8.02%. Thus, the prophecy of Chinese dairy champion entering the world s top ten was not far away to be proved.

In addition, we found that among this year s list, the number of Chinese enterprises in the list was just second to the widely recognized modern dairy powers such as U.S.A (four companies) and France (four companies), and the number of which is equal to Japan and Netherland. However, traditional dairy giants such as New Zealand, Norway and Denmark, they only had one respectively on the list.
