Recently, the Harmony 5 high-power AC driven diesel locomotive developed and manufactured by CSR Qishuyan wound up all dynamic performance tests and was accepted by the Ministry of Railways, and the first batch was delivered to the Harbin Railway Administration.
The model, jointly manufactured by CSR Qishuyan and GE USA, has been up to the world advanced standard in all technical indicators, is China s new-generation environment-friendly diesel locomotive, and will progressively become the principal diesel locomotive for Chinese main railway line freight.
Eight Harmony 5 locomotives have been delivered on schedule early this month, and 23 more is scheduled for delivery before late this month. Thus, the model has entered the stages of mass production and delivery.
