Philippines President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo met with MCC President Shen Heting in Manila on June 18. Shen introduced to Arroyo about MCC's development in recent years, and he especially referred to the achievements in mineral resources developing. President Arroyo expressed that MCC is welcomed to Philippines for resource development and that the country will provide both policy and legal supports to MCC's Mindanao Iron Ore Project and copper project and she will push relevant sides to finish the procedures for the projects.
Philippines Trade and Industrial Minister Peter Favila, Environment and Natural Resource Minister Lito Atienza, MCC Overseas Ltd Chairman Zou Weimin and Vice President Chen Chang'an were also present at the meeting.
