Delegation of Georgia University visited the Institute of Electrical Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences (IEE), on April 28, 2010.
Prof. XIAO Liye, director of IEE, briefed delegation of Georgia University about the research and development progress about all the departments of IEE, CAS. Professors of IEE, CAS discussed with delegation of Georgia University the topics of electromagnetics technology, new type solar cell material, micro-nano fabrication technology and concentrated solar power generation technology.

The two parties both agree Solar Thermal Power technology will play more important role on renewable energy use of China in future. The two parties also exchanged ideas on postgraduate training condition, enhancement of postgraduate education.
Prof. G.P. Bud Peterson, president of Georgia University and his colleagues also had a tour of Solar Thermal Power Model, the Magnetic Leviation and Linear drive Lab, Electric Car Lab and Distributed Generation and Energy Storage Lab of IEE, CAS.
