Examination Criteria for Catering Services Licensing issued

In order to carry out the classification management of catering services licensing and standardize the catering services licensing, the State Food and Drug Administration issued Examination Criteria for Catering Services Licensing on June 17, 2010 in accordance with Provisions for Catering Services Licensing and Provisions for Food Safety Supervision in Catering Services. The Criteria went into effect on the date of promulgation.
The Criteria defines the scope and principles of the catering services licensing examination, and specifies that the examination will be implemented based on five classifications. The Criteria also indicates that the catering services licensing examination consists of review of the written application documents and on-site inspection to the operating sites and specifies the requirements to the on-site inspection for the five classifications of the catering services.
