The CCTV program of Treasure Search finds Ni Dongfang s works --- the Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon to be the Qingtian Folk Treasure .

On 27^th October, the final selection of walking into Qingtian the CCTV program of Treasure Search was held in Qingtian. After the evaluations by experts and judges on the spot, Qingtian s stone carving masterpiece --- the Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon, created by Chinese master of arts and design Ni Dongfang, was selected among the 2,300 collections to be the Qingtian Folk Treasure.

After the general election, and primary election by experts, four collections had been selected to be the candidates of Qingtian Folk Treasure . In the final election, Li Jiaming, famous host in CCTV, and the owner of the treasure, together announced the four candidates: Chen Xian Bamboo Brush holder from miscellaneous collection group; Yueyao Shuizhu in Xijin dynasty, in shape of frog (tools in the study in ancient times), from ceramics group; the Landscape of Mountains and Water created by Lu Yanshao, from Calligraphies and Paintings group; the Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon created by Chinese master of arts and design Ni Dongfang, from jade and stone group.

Cai Guosheng, appraiser in miscellaneous collections, Qiu Xiaojun, a ceramics connoisseur, Jin Yunchang, appraiser in calligraphies and paintings, Wang Jingzhi, appraiser in jade and stone, gave comments on the four candidates respectively and the assessed price. Chen Xian Bamboo Brush - holder was priced 400 thousand Yuan; Yueyao Shuizhu in Xijin dynasty, in shape of frog, priced 35 thousand Yuan, the Landscape of Mountains and water created by Lu Yanshao, priced 60 thousand Yuan. The Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon was evaluated to be a priceless treasure .

As a masterpiece of Ni Dongfang, The Beautiful Flowers and Full Moon has ever been printed on the special stamps issued by the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications in 1992, thus famous both at home and abroad.
