The foreign tourists experiencing activity, which is part of the Dashilan Time-honored brands shopping festival, has been officially launched on Dashilan Commercial Street. More than 20 young people from Canada, Britain, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Sweden, Israel, Japan and other countries participated in the activity and felt the charm of the Chinese time-honored brands.
The 20 foreign tourists are living in Anyi Home, Far East Youth Hotel, Qianmen Inn and Changgong hotel, which are all located in Dashilan area. They visited time-honored shops, such like Ruifuxiang Silk Shop, which is the first among the eight silk ships owned by the Meng family in old Beijing and still enjoys a high reputation at home and abroad, Neiliansheng Shoe Shop, which is famous for its hand-made Beijng-style cloth shoes across China and in other countries, Rongbaozhai, which is known as home of painters and calligraphers, and is an artists paradise for anyone promoting of engaging in the practice of traditional Chinese painting and calligraphy. The venerable brands and their outlets gave them an insight into the quintessence of China s traditional trade.
