Both Qingtian and Jinyun s GDP for 2010 Topped 10 Billion Yuan

According to recent sources from the Statistics Bureau of the two counties of Qingtian and Jinyun, both counties GDP for 2010 topped 10 billion Yuan, Qingtian s reaching 11.13 billion yuan and Jinyun s coming to 10.784 billion yuan.

One of the major driving forces for Qingtian s steady GDP growth is its rapid and continuous development in industrial production for many years. In 2010, Qingtian s gross industrial output value totaled 24.52 billion yuan, four times of that in 2005, with an average annual increase of 24.8% in the past 5 years. The number of its industrial enterprises above designated size increased to 224 in 2010 from 113 in 2005, a net increase of 111. A group of leading enterprises which are larger, stronger, and with greater profitability sprung up through careful cultivation, for example, Zhejiang Tsingshan Steel Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Tsingshan Steel Pipe Co., Ltd, Yearcon Shoes Group Co., Ltd, Zhejiang Mingdian Shoes Co.,Ltd, Yatai Tannery Co.,Ltd. In 2010, there were 29 enterprises whose output value exceeded 100 million yuan and they were mainly from the county s mainstay industries, namely, metal processing, shoe and leather manufacturing, machinery and electrical appliances, minerals, and stone carving.

In 2010, Jinyun s industrial output value reached 28.123 billion yuan, up by 25.7 percent over the previous year, ranking first in Lishui s nine counties (cities or districts). The total output value of its enterprises above designated size reached 24.931 billion yuan, an increase of 28.2%. The annual prime operating revenue of its industrial enterprises above designated size totaled 23.391 billion yuan, up by 34.5 percent over the previous year. Their profit and tax added up to 3.267 billion yuan, an increase of 96.7 percent over the previous year.

Jinyun county exercised itself to promote the coordinated growth of all three industries. Its total agricultural output value reached 1.07 billion yuan in 2010, an increase of 6.1%. The construction of its functional zones for grain production was started, and its two provincial modern agricultural gardens in Xiaoxiandu and Sanxi were officially approved. The total output value of its construction enterprises reached 2.303 billion yuan in 2010, an increase of 27.6 percent over the previous year; the construction sector achieved a total added value of 528 million yuan, an increase of 18.8 percent over the previous year. At the end of 2010 the outstanding of deposits in domestic currency and foreign exchanges in financial institutions in Jinyun county totaled 13.11 billion yuan, 2.821 billion yuan more than that at the beginning of the year, and the outstanding of loans in domestic currency and foreign exchanges reached 9.082 billion yuan, 1.999 billion yuan more than that at the beginning of the year. With the steady development of its tourism industry, Jinyun received a total of 4,258,100 tourists in 2010, up by 33.78 percent year on year. Its tourism revenue reached 2.012 billion yuan, up by 34.76 percent on year-on-year basis.
