Pacing on the steps for realizing modernization

Yesterday morning, Mao Xiaoping, Mayor of Wuxi city accompanied by Jiangyin leaders Zhu Minyang, Wang Xinan made inspection in Low Carbon Industrial Park of New Harbor City and communicated with technical staff in Yuanjian Energy Company.

Yesterday, Mao Xiaoping, Mayor of Wuxi , led leaders in relevant organizations made inspection on the development profile of social economy. The transformation upgrade of Jiangyin s traditional industries, rapid change of new emerging industries, and social measures for benefitting people s livelihood, were all impressed Mao a lot. He firmly confirmed the new changes and new development ideas reached in recent years. Meanwhile, he hoped that Jiangyin would pace on the steps of modernization in twelfth Five Year Plan , and continuously kept the pioneering role in province. City leaders Zhu Minyang, Wang Xinan, Wu Chongzhai, Huang Manzhong, Gao Pei, Sun Xiaohu, Xue Liang, Ji Jun, Xu Zhenyu, Sun Ying, Chen Peimin, Qian Wenqin, Gong Zhendong, Feng Xiaochun, Tao Sugen, and Zhang Jijian accompanied the inspection and attended the discussion.

Mao Xiaoping and his fellows firstly came to Xinhui Solar Energy Co, Ltd. It was officially constructed in February this year with a total investment of nearly RMB 2 billion was mainly engaged in design, development, production and sales of high-performance solar cells and components. At present, the first phase of eight production lines with 250MW solar cell have completed two and put into operation, besides, it was expected to reach 50 billion RMB by the end of 2011.

Mao Xiaoping hoped that enterprises should pay attention to reduce product cost, set up R & D team to track new technologies in this field, continuously improve the production technology, and take the forefront of technology in the industry.

Later, the delegation came to Xingcheng Special Steel; more than 400 professional researchers were striving to promote two national subjects and more than 300 scientific research projects in Xingcheng Special Steel Institute established in April this year. Meanwhile, 4300 steel heavy plate rolling production line invested RMB 3.8 billion and heat treatment production line would be put into operation in the first quarter of next year, which will greatly enhance the market competitiveness of enterprises.

Mao Xiaoping and his fellows also visited the central city called Chengjiang Blessing Land of Jiangyin with great interest. The center was integrated with commercial activities and tourism, which has become a new bright spot in city tourism. After inspecting Ailm (Jiangsu) Fiberglass Products Co., Ltd.,(Jiangyin) Yuanjian Wind Power Co., Ltd., and Jinyi Culture Creative Asia, Mao Xiaoping thought that Yuanjian Wind Power Co., Ltd has made revolutionary change in the manufacturing production mode, Jinyi Culture Creative Asia , has walked a new road in the development of cultural industries by cooperating with high-end cultural talents.

Mayor Wang Xinan briefed the social economy roadmap, since the beginning of this year, Jiangyin has realized rapid economy recovery with effective measures; paced on economy transformation by adjustment; strive to attract new investment by more input; move on urbanization with function-oriented; focus on low carbon economy building with ecology construction; increase revenue and guarantee growth by upgrading people s livelihood; maintain on-ground measures with harmonious steps; make overall twelfth Five Year Plan with long term insights.
