Fangte Amusement Park Blue Mercury Theme Park Opens

On the morning of July 13, the Fangte Amusement Park Blue Mercury Theme Park formally opened to the public.
The Fangte Amusement Park Blue Mercury Theme Park is a key tourism project in Shantou City as well as one of the top 500 projects in the modern service industry of Guangdong Province, in which Shenzhen Huaqiang Holdings Group and Guangdong Jinfeng Group jointly invested RMB 1 billion. The park is capable of receiving over 2 million visitors annually as a large comprehensive tourist park, integrating amusement, sightseeing, education, entertainment, recreation, accommodation, and shopping, which will be a major attraction of the city of Shantou. Since it was put into trial operation on Jan.28 this year, the park has been popular with tourists and residents, with the overall number of visitors higher than expected.
The opening of the Blue Mercury Park will play an important positive role in further improving Shantou's popularity, attraction and impetus as a tourist site, improving the investment environment, city grade and overall image of Shantou, accelerating the development of modern service industry in Shantou, and promoting the development and construction of the eastern part of the city.
