Asian Games Torch Relay Will be Held in Shantou on October 18

The torch relay of 16th Asian Games will be carried out in 21 prefecture-level cities of Guangdong Province from October 12 to November 11 this year. The relay activity in Shantou will be held on October 18, and there will be 80 torchbearers participating in the torch relay in Shantou on that day.
It is reported that the total operation mileage of the Asian Games torch relay in Shantou is about 9 km with total operation time of about 90 minutes. Recreation and sports performance will be arranged at the relay starting point and the end point, as well as on the way of relay. All torchbearers recommended by government to participate in this Asian Games torch relay activity are local citizens of Shantou or people working and studying in Shantou for a long term, mainly consisting of the folks from all walks of life.
