16th Asian Games Torch Relay in Shantou

At 8:45 a.m. on October 21, after the enthusiastic and festive cultural performance, the starting ceremony of the 16th Asian Games Torch Relay (Shantou Station) officially begins.

Shantou is the 7th station of the 16th Asian Games Torch Relay in Guangdong Province. More than 5 million people in Shantou have the honor of sharing the gladness of Asian Games Torch Relay to witness this remarkable moment in history. In the torch relay distance of 8 km, the Asian Games Torch is passed through Water Promenade, Shantou Municipal Committee Building, Shantou People's Congress Political Consultative Conference Building, Stone Fort Park, Overseas Chinese Park, Times Square and other landmarks and attractions, and is ended at Zhuchi Port. 80 torchbearers highly held the torch and passed the torch hand in hand, igniting the hopes, dreams, passion and happiness of Shantou City.
