Expo "Chaoshan Cuision Pavilion" Will be Relocated to Shantou

The Chaoshan Cuision Pavilion, which participated in Shanghai World Expo representing Cantonese Cuisine, one of the eight cuisines in China, will be relocated to Shantou, and preserved as a permanent memorial pavilion for Teochew (Chaozhou) Cuisine.
The design style of the Chaoshan Cuision Pavilion relocated from Shanghai World Expo and restored in Shantou will be retained. Moreover, Teochew (Chaozhou) Cuisine History Pavilion, Chinese Congou Pavilion, World Expo "Intangible Heritage" Items Display Pavilion, etc. will be added. In addition, Chaoshan Customs Antique Lane, Chaoshan Culture and Arts Plaza, Famous Chaoshan People Sculptures and so on will also be built to vividly show the Teochew (Chaozhou) Cuisine Teochew (Chaoshan) opera, Congou, paper cutting and other unique Chaoshan arts and cultures. With the total investment exceeding 2 billion yuan and the investment in the first phase of about 1 billion yuan, the entire project will be built into the landmark cultural tourism park of Shantou City.
