Shantou Opens 114 Hotlines for Travel Service

As "114 Hotlines for Travel Service" jointly organized by Shantou Municipal Tourism Bureau and China Telecom Shantou Branch have been officially opened recently, the function of the tourism infrastructure facilities in Shantou City will be further improved.
Last year, Shantou received 7.822 million tourists, growing by 15.01 over the same period of the pervious year. The tourist income was 8.847 billion yuan, growing by 19.09 year on year.In 2011, Shantou will continue to promote the construction of ecological coastal tourism demonstration zone, vigorously build four tourism brands, i.e., "ecological coast, hometown of Chaoshan people, village of delicious food and city of leisure", and enhance the tourism radiation and cohesion. In addition, Shantou will make great efforts to develop the investment work, discover tourism resources, build tourism attractions, enhance the quality of the tourism services and transform the tourism growth mode, so as to strive to build Shantou into the central tourist city in East Guangdong.
