Kindergartens and schools around Dongguan started the autumn semester on September 1. |
Dongguan Bureau of Public Security on September 7 urged kindergartens and schools around the city to install an alarm system to better safeguard campus security, Dongguan Daily reported on September 8.
The Bureau made the recommendation after it together with Dongguan Education Bureau checked the campus security in Nancheng District on September 7, six days after schools started the autumn semester.
The official group visited five schools in Nancheng District and found their security guards and relevant equipments are well in place. But some of them were found to lack of video surveillance devices due to inadequate budget allocations.
The Bureau said it will push those schools to complete their video surveillance devices, and the Bureau also urged schools around the city to install a security alarm system which can reach the police s help by pressing a single button.
School security across China has been strengthened after six deadly school playground attacks in the three months from March to May earlier this year.
