The construction of the Dongguan Basketball Centre with the fame of No.1 Gymnasium for Chinese Basketball Association (CBA), will be completed by November of 2011.
Located in Liaobu Town of Dongguan where Songshanhu Avenue is crossed by the overpass of Eastern Express way, the Dongguan Basketball Center is one of the key projects in Dongguan. Since its start of construction in last December, various projects have been progressing smoothly. Its main structure will be capped in mid-December of 2010. The entire project will be completed by the November of 2011, and will be formally put into use by the end of next year.
The Basketball Centre will be a multifunctional gymnasium with a planned land use of 267 463 sq.m. It will become the largest basketball gym for China Basketball Association (CBA), the biggest gym in Guangdong Province and rank in the Top 10 in China.
The whole building of the centre looks like a basketball net. Hyperboloid glass curtain wall will be used in the centre for the first time nationwide. With over 1600 seats, the centre will be able to host top basketball games.
