On May 12th, the excellence of Asia's universities is showcased in the 2010 QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) Asian University Rankings. Tongji ranks 75th in Asia and 9th among mainland universities. (94th in Asia and 10th among mainland universities in 2009). QS Ranking Asian university is the extension of QS World University Rankings which begins in 2004, and is the worldwide most cited university rankings.
