From April 7 to 9, Prof. Yrjo Sotamaa, president s representative of Aalto University, and Prof. Ai Du, director of Finland Aalto Design Workshop , had a visit to our university for the consultation of building the Sino-Finland Center . Vice-president Chen Xiaolong and Wu Jiang, president assistant Wu Zhiqiang met with the guests from Finland individually. All of them supported the establishment project of Sino-Finland Center , and hoped the center could become an interdisciplinary cooperation platform between universities and enterprises in both China and Finland.
Prof. Li Zhenyu, dean of Tongji Foreign Affairs Office, had a deep discussion on the preparation of Tongji-Aalto Design Workshop , double master degree project of international design management, and other possible cooperation form with Finland representatives, and confirmed the mutual work for the next step.
During the visit, guests from Finland visited the field of Tongji-Aalto Design Workshop on the campus of Zhang Wu Road and under construction Shanghai No.1 Design Workshop (former No.1 Bus Stop).
On the afternoon of April 8, Prof. Ai Du gave a keynote report about interdisciplinary product research and design to our teachers and students.
