Dr. Li Xin attends the first Sino-Vietnam Presidential Forum in Vietnam

From March 27th to April 3rd, Vice President Dr. Li Xin followed China College Education Pavilion Group of CSC (China Scholarship Council) to attend the First Sino-Vietnam Presidential Forum for the 60-year anniversary of Chinese and Vietnamese establishing diplomatic relations as well as the seventh Chinese Higher Education Exhibition in Vietnam.
On March 27th, dozens of presidents from Chinese and Vietnamese Universities gathered in the Vietnamese Ministry of Education and Training. In the forum, Dr. Li made an introduction of the combination of international education and social services in Tongji University, which formalized the academic-industrial chains. He took Shanghai Expo as an example to explain the disciplinary advantage and educational features of our university.

During the exhibition, Dr. Li introduced the international cooperation and international student work in Tongji to Liu Jinghui, secretary of CSC. Liu appreciated Tongji s achievement in international education of higher education and suggested combining the projects of CSC to train talents who had a good command of both professional skills, management skills and local language and culture.
Further more, Dr. Li met Vietnam alumni in the meeting and introduced the development of Tongji, suggested them building alumni branch for the connection between alumni and university, and better served the construction and development of Vietnam.
