Commencement for Graduate Students

A commencement ceremony to award graduate degrees was held for 4,341 students in the gymnasium at Tsinghua University on July 12. There were 579 doctorates and 3,762 master s degrees awarded at the ceremony. Gu Binglin, President of Tsinghua and Chairman of the Degree Conferral Committee, and Chen Xi, Chairman of the University Council, and other university officers awarded graduate certificates to the students.
President Gu delivered the commencement address. He commended the students for their hard work and contribution to the development of Tsinghua University. He encouraged them to embrace responsibility, adopt a global vision, be creative, and cultivate cooperation.
