2010 Graduate Student Spring Commencement Ceremony

More than 1,400 graduate students received degrees at Tsinghua University's 2010 Spring Graduate Commencement Ceremony on the morning of January 25th. Among them, 373 received doctorates and 1,110 received master's degrees.

Tsinghua President and Chairman of the Degree Conferral Committee Gu Binglin and University Council Chairman Hu Heping, together with other university leaders, presented degrees and certificates to the new graduates.

President Gu delivered a speech at the ceremony. On behalf of the University, he congratulated the graduates and commended them for their hard work and their contributions to the development of Tsinghua. He encouraged the students to strengthen their convictions, be brave in shouldering responsibilities, be innovative in their future studies and work, and contribute to the development of the nation. President Gu then told the students to persevere in their attainments. He concluded by advising them to be cooperative in their careers.
