On Oct. 13, Longyuan (Tibet) New Energy Co., Ltd., affiliated to China Longyuan Power, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the Administrative Office of the Nagqu Prefecture in Lhasa.
According to the agreement, China Longyuan will have completed the construction and the launch of its 50MW photovoltaic project, 200MW wind power project and Guludi Thermal Power Plant by 2015. Both sides will give full play of their respective advantages and strive for the state s policy support to the new energy development in Tibet. They will pursue a favorable subsidy for on-grid tariffs so as to guarantee the reasonable investment income and sustainable development. The Administrative Office of Nagqu Prefecture is responsible for coordinating with each department to ensure a good investment and operation environment. In the process of development, the office also helps solve problems in the fields of planning, land acquisition, resettlement, environmental impact assessment, grid connection and project approval and so on.
In order to carry out the strategic cooperation agreement substantially, China Longyuan will first invest and construct its grid-connected 30MW photovoltaic generation project in Nagqu Logistic Center, which is located in the processing zone of Nagqu Logistic Center of the Qinghai-Tibet Railway.
The agreement signed by both sides opens a new chapter for the cooperation between the company and the Administrative Office of the Nagqu Prefecture and it will further promote the company s influence in Tibet. In the coming five years, both sides will implement deep cooperation in the fields of solar energy, geothermal energy and wind power industry so as to speed up the new energy development in Nagqu, Tibet.
