At present, there are two buildings under construction by RAKEEN CONGO in the Democratic Republic of Congo, one is a 33-storey commercial-residential building and the other is a 26-storey hotel for diversified utilities covering shopping, entertainment and leisure. Sany s products are the most widely used during the construction of the two buildings: currently there are two 45m truck-mounted concrete pumps, one 120-type batching plant, six concrete mixers, two 250-type rotary drilling rigs serving the construction, and RAKEEN CONGO is planning to add more of Sany machines: one 48m truck pump, one 180-type batching plant and two 80-type trailer pumps. To Kinshasa, the capital city of Congo that has suffered from wars and turmoil for years, this is the biggest project in the past 40 years. With the entry and involvement of Chinese state-owned enterprises, like CREC (China Railway Engineering Corporation), CCGRP (China Communications Construction Company) and Sinohydro Corporation, along with many other engineering, construction and mining companies, such as the foreign companies from Lebanon, UAE and Belgium, Congo is now at the height of post-war reconstruction, which leads to an increasing demand of engineering equipment.
