On April 7th, Prof. Arnold W. Strauss, Director of Cincinnati Children's Hospital, USA headed a delegation to visit Children's Hospital of CQMU upon invitation. The guests were warmly welcomed. During the visit, the delegation had friendly communication and discussion with related staff of Children's Hospital about the concrete matters of cooperation. The visit greatly expanded the bilateral cooperation and promoted the friendship between both parties.
On the afternoon of April 7th, at the meeting hosted by Li Qiu, Deputy Director of Children's Hospital, the delegation had professional exchanges with our doctors in charge of the divisions of Neonatology, Infectious Diseases, Pneumology, Cardiology, Nephrology and Endocrinology.
On the morning of April 8th, the meeting of welcome and further cooperation was held, at which Li Tingyu, Director of Children's Hospital delivered a welcome speech. At the meeting, both parties warmly discussed the contents of the contract and made clear the fields for cooperation, including distance education, development of virus vaccine, newborn screening, genetics and nursing. They also agreed that the CQMU would regularly send doctors to Cincinnati Children's Hospital for short-time training each year and would invite experts from Cincinnati for clinical instruction and academic exchanges. At the end of the meeting, both parties agreed to start the cooperation program in July this year.
