On March 17, Ph. D Lorna Wright, associate vice-president international of York University visited CQMU with Esther Wang, director of Beijing Office of York University Asian Business Center and Liao Zhong, business officer of Canadian Consulate in Chongqing.
Vice-president Huang Ailong, on behalf of our university, firstly extended his warm welcome to Ph. D Lorna. Then Ms Yang Hong, director of foreign affairs office, briefed the state quo of our university on student cultivation, medical research, foreign students??? education and international cooperation.
In the following talks, Ph. D Lorna mentioned the MOU to be signed in this May. Both sides further the possibilities of cooperation in public health and health management, especially the suggestion on organizing a joint international conference. Detailed talks about exchange programs for students and faculties will be held in near future.
Last November, Ph. D Harvery Skinner, president of Public Health College of York University visited our university. Both sides discussed the possibility of exchanging students and faculties, and were willing to carry out practical cooperation in EBM, preventive medicine, E-health and statistics analysis. Such visit has established friendship and laid solid foundation in cooperation between our two universities.
