On December 6th, GDUFS played host to a delegation from an Indonesian university and welcomed Mr. Dalan, Consul (Culture & Education) of the Consulate General of Indonesia in Guangzhou. Prof. Liang Xuehong, Dean of the Institute of Education for International Students, gave the guests a warm reception. They exchanged views on cooperation in education, research projects and international student exchange.

Prof. Liang introduced GDUFS to the Indonesian guests. Featured by its internationalization among universities in South China, GDUFS highlighted international education highlighting GDUFS' development with international students, teachers, research and management. To date, there have been more than 1000 international students (excluding Chinese) who have studied diversified subjects including economy and management.According to Prof. Liang, GDUFS now offer 55 different subjects. Moreover, during summer and winter vacations, the college provides various courses that students can choose. At the end of his speech, Prof. Liang extended wishes for further cooperation between the two universities.
Prof. Liang's speech was followed by that of Mr. Kunkunrat, Head of the Indonesian delegation. Mr. Kunkunrat hopes to conduct exchange activities with GDUFS through a research project studying international relations, which has been successfully held four times in Southeast Asia. There are a total of 38 different subjects at his university, Mr. Kunkunrat said that there is so much room for further partnerships with GDUFS, nothing less is expected.

In the end, the delegation had a cordial talk with teachers and students from The Department of Indonesian at GDUFS. Here the local students and teachers were able to introduce the Asian Games to their Indonesian friends.
