A Delegation of Mazars Accounting Office Visits NAU

On September 21, 2005, the delegation of 4, led by Mr. Green, partner of Mazars Accounting Office of U.K, visited Nanjing Audit University. The delegation has paid a previous visit to NAU in July, and has expressed great interest in the cooperation and investment issues of NAU and strong desire to carry out related projects as soon as possible.

With great attention to this visit, Party Secretary Xiong Renmin, President Wang Jiaxin and Vice President Yin Ping met the delegation. Besides, deans of related schools and offices attended the meeting.

Mazars activities were outlined as Auditing/ Accounting firm of some size with 500 Partners and an annual turnover of US$ 500 million operating in 55 countries. The main partnership was based in France with the group have been forged from the merger of many partnership around the world over the last 25 years with a number of the partnerships having been in existence for over 100 years. The client base had a strong European influence with the company having 10% of the top European 100 companies.

To date, the Hong Kong office had historically overseen the China cooperation but major offices have now been established in Beijing and Shanghai and also a number of associated offices throughout China; further development of operations in China will be seen.
