The Lauching of Administrative Cadre Training Program of NUPT in NYIT

The first overseas Administrative Cadre Training Program of NUPT was launched in Manhattan campus of NYIT on Sep. 28. Prof. Yang Zhen, President of NUPT and Prof. Edward Guiliano, President and CEO of NYIT attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches. President Yang pointed out in the speech that overseas training program was aimed to enlarge the view of administrative cadres in NUPT, innovate the thoughts, enhance the administration level and contribute to fostering students with a world view.

The program consisted of 16 heads of colleges and departments in NUPT and took advantage of the holiday of National Day for the training, which included a variety of learning approaches such as lectures, seminars, campus tour, viewing teaching and attending international conferences. The trainees learned about American educational system, higher education system, organization and structure of universities and colleges including their administrative management, performance evaluation, stimulation mechanism, the relationship between school and government, community and enterprise in order to widening the view and increase the administrative level.

Our university will keep on selecting cadres and young backbone teachers to participate in the internationalized training programs or the further study for Ph.D degree. Meanwhile, NUPT will carry out policies to attract the overseas talents to serve the motherland and try o speed up promoting the capability of running higher education.
