2007-2008 academic year presentation ceremony of endowed scholarship held

On the afternoon of March 19, 2007-2008 academic year presentation of endowed scholarship was held at Lecture Hall of Shaw Building of Science. SCUT Vice President ZHANG Zhengang gave an opening address. Over 200 people attended the ceremony, including representatives from entities offering the awards, responsible personnel from the Student Affair Department and Graduate Student Affair Department, and student recipient representatives.

At the ceremony, the responsible personnel of Graduate Student Affair Department announced the recipient list of endowed scholarship. Representing the endowing entities, WU Shaoqiang, general manager of Jingdian Co. Ltd., extended congratulations on the scholarship winners. Student representatives conveyed their gratitude to the scholarship endowers and reported on their performance over the past year.

SCUT's education work has been widely supported by various social circles. Many well-known enterprises have set up scholarship in the University. During the past academic year, 29 enterprises including Samsung Electronics and Dow Chemical Company established a university endowed scholarship, playing a positive role in the encouragement of the students in their studies and promotion of their comprehensive quality.
