JNU Delegation Visiting Universities in UK

From November 24 to 29, a delegation headed by Vice President Lu Daxiang paid a visit to three leading universities in UK, namely, Queen Mary, University of London, Lancaster University and Cardiff University. Other members of the delegation were Prof. Ye Wencai and Prof. Cai Shaohui, both deputy deans of the School of Pharmacy and Ms. Li Qiong, Assistant Director of the International Affairs Office.

The delegation first visited Queen Mary of University of London and expressed the interests in exchanging students and faculty and developing collaborative educational programs.

In the following visit to Lancaster University, one of JNU s partner universities in UK, Vice President Lu reviewed the relationship and cooperation between the two sides and expected his wish to develop more joint degree programs and joint research laboratories, especially in the field of management, environment engineering, water science and medicine.

Lastly, the delegation visited Cardiff University, which was established in 1883 and one of the top 20 British universities. The school of pharmacy was accredited as the best one in the provision of excellent teaching and research by Higher Educational Institutions in UK. During the meeting, the two sides discussed on the issues including faculty exchange, joint research and cooperation in graduate programs, etc.
