Delegation of Indonesian Department of Foreign Affairs visiting Jinan University

On the morning of May 15, a delegation headed by Mr. Umar Hadi, Director of Public Diplomacy, Department of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia visited JinanUniversity. Prof. Jia Yimin received the delegation and gave them a brief introduction about JinanUniversity and the history of International Cooperation between JinanUniversity and Indonesian Higher Institutions. On behalf of the delegation, Mr. Umar Hadi expressed his thanks for JinanUniversity s efforts and contribution to promote Chinese education in Indonesia. He said the friendship between Chinese people and Indonesian people had long standing history and the cooperation in the field of education was quite close as well. For the past years, the Indonesian government has provided many scholarship programs to encouraged Chinese students to study in Indonesia.
