Prof Imogen Taylor, Head of the Department of Social Work & Social Care from School of Education and Social Work at Sussex University, was invited to visit JNU and gave a lecture on Perspectives and influences on social work education and research: Views from the United Kingdom on June 17th,2010.
Professor Imogen Taylor is an outstanding Professor of Social Care and Social Work, and editor of the international Journal Social Work Education. She has worked for 15 years as a social work practitioner and was once a Social Work Practice Professor at the University of Toronto. In 2003, she received National Teaching Fellowship Award of U.K..
The lecture was co-organized by Department of Social Sciences and International School, and co-sponsored by International Affairs Office and Office of Social Sciences Research.
Prof Shuze Tang,Dean of International School, Prof Yasen Meng, Head of Department of Social Sciences, Prof Zhaozhong Li, Vice-Head of Department of Social Sciences welcomed the guest and had a discussion on potential cooperation.
