Students Won Championship of Embedded Development

A team named Carbon Footprint composed of Li Jiangchen, Peng Hao and Huang Wei, from HUST Electric and Electronic Science & Technology Center, claimed the championship of Imagine Cup Embedded Development in the China region on May 16.

The three students will head for Warsaw, Poland to compete in the Worldwide Finals. The Electric and Electronic Sci & Tech Center has advanced to the Imagine Cup Worldwide Finals for two consecutive years.

The three students are from class of 2007, Department of Electronic Science and Technology. They have participated in many competitions since they are sophomore students and have achieved good results.

They entered for Imagine Cup Embedded Development in December 2009. After half a year's efforts and series of qualifying rounds, they finally stood out among thousands of teams worldwide and entered the worldwide finals.

Embedded Development focuses on testing competitors' ability to use embedded technology to solve practical problems, and testing whether the products they developed can have market prospect and promotion value.

iSee team made up of Mao Biao, Peng Hao, Zhang Xuan and Tang Xiudong won China region's championship in 2009. They took the second place in the worldwide finals in Cairo, Egypt.


Now in its eighth year, the Imagine Cup has grown to be a world premier students technology competition. More than 300,000 students from over 100 countries and regions registered to the competition.
