On September 9, the 7th Interdisciplinary Forum: Pave the Low-Carbon Way Scientifically ---- Calmly Contemplate the Low-Carbon Economic Boom, jointly sponsored by HUST Committee, Journal of HUST Social Sciences Edition , Zhang Peigang foundation and the Economy Institute of HUST, was held in the lecture hall of the the College of Economics. President Li Peigen, Academician Pan Yuan and other nearly 100 teachers and students attended the lecture.

In the forum, Prof. Pan Jiahua made a keynote speech entitled "the Paradox of Low-Carbon Development . Professor Liu Zhaohui gave a detailed interpretation on how to tackle carbon emission technically and relevant problems which should be paid attention to.
